What this site collects

Nothing. There are no forms on this website, no accounts and no way to submit information through it. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising services, and runs no JavaScript in your browser at all.

Fonts, images and documents are all served from this domain. Many websites load these from other companies, which reveals your address to them on every page you visit. This one does not, so visiting it tells no one but us that you were here — and we are not keeping a record of it.

How the site is delivered

The site is hosted on Amazon Web Services and delivered through its content network. Your request necessarily reaches that network in order to send a page back, so AWS processes it as our service provider. We have not enabled request logging, so no record of individual visits is stored for us to hold, search or disclose.

If you email us

The staff directory lists addresses you can write to directly. That correspondence does not pass through this website; it goes to the member of staff you chose.

EMCOG is a public body. Correspondence sent to it, including email, may be a public record subject to disclosure under the Michigan Freedom of Information Act. Please bear that in mind before sending anything you would not want released, and contact us by telephone instead if that matters to you.

Links and documents

Some documents and links point to other organizations — state agencies, member communities, federal programs. Once you follow one of those you are on their website, under their privacy practices, not ours.

Children

This site is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone, including children.
