Our commitment

East Michigan Council of Governments is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification, or speech input.

Conformance target

This site is built to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard adopted for state and local government websites under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Documents

Documents published on EMCOG's previous website are kept in a designatedarchive, reproduced in their original unaltered form and provided for reference only. They were not produced to this standard and have not been remediated. Under Title II they are treated as archived content rather than as current material.

That exception does not apply to anything EMCOG still uses to deliver a service. If a document in the archive is needed to apply for or take part in a program, tell us and we will provide an accessible version of it — not a referral back to the archive.

If you need any document here in a different format, ask us and we will provide one.

How this site is built

The site runs no JavaScript in your browser, so nothing here depends on scripting to be readable or navigable. It sets no cookies and loads nothing from a third party — see theprivacy notice. Every page is checked against a structural accessibility gate before it can be published.
